“Out of Egypt”

Moses told the people I’ve come to bring you out
For God has sent me to you, there’s no need to fear and doubt
You’re going to have to walk the desert, across some burning sands
But it’s more than just a hope so, it is a promised land

He took them out of Egypt, out of Pharaoh’s hand
Out of bondage to a far and better land
They went up to the mountain where they could clearly see
And the same God who delivered them, he will deliver me

I don’t fear the thunder though the storms around me rage
I can’t even smell the smoke though I’m walking through the flame
I know the flood is rising, and I guess it’s sink or swim
But I’ll be walking on the water if I keep my eyes on him.

He’ll take me out of Egypt, out of Pharaoh’s hand
Out of bondage to a far and better land
I’ll go up to the mountain so I can clearly see
The same God who delivered them, he will deliver me

A pillar of smoke by day
A pillar of fire by night
I’ll be going the right way
If I keep him in my sight

(Yes, I’ll go) out of Egypt, out of Pharaoh’s hand
Out of bondage to a far and better land
I’ll go up to the mountain so I can clearly see
The same God who delivered them, he will deliver me
